To Grandma's House we went...

Last weekend we headed south and stayed at Great Granny D's house, Joe's Grandma. It is always a treat to see her. Not only does she make the most amazing food - the best corn bread, potatoes, baked chicken, peach cobbler, biscuits and gravy, eggs, oh my I am hungry again... but she also makes us feel right at home.

Grandma also tends to always give Reece whatever treats he wants and then gives him a few more when Joe and I aren't looking. :) Is that a grandma and great grandma given right- is there a contract that you sign somewhere once you have grandkids that no matter what you will spoil, spoil some more, and then come back and add a little more spoiling? Anyway, Reece loved it. He loved the ice cream that Granny D gave him and then the two of them had a great time hysterically laughing as she tried to feed him with a 'flying' spoon. Thanks Grandma Davis for a wonderful time.

Everytime I read your posts about Granny D visits, I want to hop in the car and go to Cracker Barrel. What awesome pictures of her and Reece!!!! Isn't that the aunt who was sleeping in a previous post? =) She's beautiful.

Yes, Granny D's food sounds amazing ... wish my Grandma Miller was still around to fatten me up (some more) with her awesome cooking. Love the pictures of Granny with Reece ... especially the one where they are nose to nose. :)

Wow....don't ever stop doing this blog thing...love the pictures and your narrative. I don't think that Reece could take a bad picture if you tried.

That picture of Grandma and Reece is a keeper! I've got a hankerin' for grandma's chicken and cornbread, myself!

We look forward to visiting with you guys at the reunion in a few weeks. Maybe we'll even make the blog :)
